Why am I here?

The first time I heard the word "blog," a swampy area filled with logs came to mind and I thought, "How stupid. I will never participate in anything called that word." Well, now here I am, and with my family and really excited about it. And here are the reasons why.

1. While I sometimes look jealously at the scrapbooks on other's shelves, I have none on mine. Sometimes I am sad about this, but not enough to change it. So while I will still have no beautiful scrapbooks on my shelves filled with precious family memories, I will now have a virtual one and it will take a fraction of the time, and I will not have to spend a dime. That makes me happy. I will also be able to put videos in it.
2. I'm hoping this will be a bonding family experience. Our children will be encouraged to post things they would like to as well as Brandon and I. Let's see if it catches on.
3. What a great way to connect with family and friends that we do not see so often.
