Eggs on Toast and Junior have been eagerly awaiting weather warm enough (and a mother willing enough) to get out the slip 'n slide. That day finally arrived. Eggs on Toast's best friend was probably the most excited of all. For the past month, when he was over, I would see BFOE (Best Friend of Eggs on toast) whisper something into Eggs' ear. Then Eggs would come over to me and say, "Mom, can we do the slip 'n slide?" I would say something like, "Not today--it's not warm enough." Eggs would then return to BFOE who was standing shyly in the distance and say, "I told you!"
