Have a Lovely Valentine's Day

By the way, if you want to read an amazing story, go here. I don't know these people, but their kids go to the same school as ours and a friend of mine told me what happened a few days after (you know how new spreads) and then I recently saw them in the news. Reading her account of their experience really impacted me. (And they have four boys, too.)

Valentine Box Creations

The boys had their Valentine's Day parties at school this week. The older two had classroom contests for the best Valentine box so they really put some effort into their boxes. Let's check them out.

Here is Onion Ring with his Valentine-eating robot. I think "Sweetie" would be a good name because this robot has quite a sweet tooth.

Here is how Sweetie gets fed.

Down the hatch!

Move around to the back side...

...and voila!

Onion Ring won fourth place in his class. There were a couple of kids who had electrical moving parts on their creations, so he was up against some stiff competition.

Here is Buttermilk Sky's "sweet" lap-top.

Check out the amount of detail he put into his keyboard.

On the side he has a button which he pushes...

...and the "candy drive" pops out.

Put the candy on,

push it in,

and dump.

Buttermilk Sky won second place in his class.

Ahhh, sweet rewards.
