Fashionisto
This is what Junior wore shopping this morning.
Junior has a pair of shoes waiting for when his feet grow large enough. They will probably fit perfectly in about a half of a year. They were given to him by a friend who out-grew them. These shoes have lights and are very cool. This morning when it was time to go shopping and I told Junior to get his shoes on, he came back with one of the new ones on. I figured since they weren't falling off it was okay for him to wear them, so I told him to go find the other one. He couldn't find the other one and I was in a hurry so I told him to just wear his old ones. He said, "Okay," and put one of the old ones on his other foot and got into the car and off we went, Junior happy as can be.
You never know, it could become a new trend.

The Year of the Saw Blade
What do you think of this cake made by the Silly Grandma for Brandon's birthday?

Totally wicked, or what? It's actually rather appropriate because Brandon has waxed productive in the shop of late, finishing some projects that had been left waiting for a while and gearing up to start some new ones.
We'll do some show and tell of Brandon's projects later, but for now I want to show some of the things the boys made for his birthday.
The artwork below is by Junior. Can you tell who is who? When asked what all the little dots were all over the paper, he said (with a huge grin), "Celebration!"
This is by Eggs on Toast. He said it is a house boat and Brandon is the driver.
Onion Ring spent a lot of time making this game for Brandon, called "Retro". Here are the instructions:
the playing board:
the playing cards, and the little die:
What thoughtful boys (and Grandma)! I think Brandon felt very luved.
