Young Boys at a Wedding

The day after our long drive to Kennewick, (July 31) I woke the boys up and told them to put on their Sunday clothes. "WHAAAAT?! It's not Sunday!" I said, "I know, but Jon and Keilani are getting married today." I then heard many noises coming from their mouths that resembled sick cows and saw crumpled, despairing looks on their faces. I felt somewhat sympathetic, knowing what a long, boring affair a wedding is to young boys; all the waiting for people to change clothes, waiting for pictures to be taken, all the kissing and mushy stuff, all the waiting around while people bring gifts and talk and congratulate, all the while having to wear their Sunday clothes all day.

But in spite of these unpleasant things that must be endured, weddings do have perks as listed below.

The Perks for Young Boys at a Wedding: goofing off with Cousin Tanner,

meeting cute little girls (hubba, hubba!),

being entertained by cute babies,

playing in the water fountains,

having deep scientific conversations with Uncle Chris, the "electronic and scientific genius" (as I have heard the boys describe Chris to their friends),

and eating huge quantities of glorious food.

And now on to the the boring details of the wedding, like sitting around,

and waiting,

and sitting around,

waiting,

sitting around,

and blah, blah, blah,

and sitting around.

Blabbety blaah, blah, b-blaaaaaah,

blah.

I was impressed that Keilani designed and made her beautiful wedding dress.

I enjoyed the day, by the way.

It was a very beautiful, sentimental day.

And I think that the boys actually think its cool that they have a new aunt because I heard them telling their friends later.
