Time to Backtrack

I just realized that I never posted about Thanksgiving.  So here it is...Thanksgiving 2012!

We went to Utah to spend it with our family and friends.

Junior was sick much of the time we were there.

We hiked Y Mountain the morning after feast day.

It was a beautiful, crisp fall day and felt great to get moving after stuffing ourselves the day before.

Junior still was not feeling great, so this is how he made it up the mountain.  Brandon earned the name "He-Man" for this.  This is a tough hike even without 60 extra pounds on your shoulders.  (And, let's be honest--especially if you are not in shape to begin with--right, Brandon?)

The boys loved spending more time with their cousins.

These three have been working really hard to perfect their GQ poses.

This was going to be our Christmas card photo (if we had sent them) because we look so awesome.

We were thankful for a fun and safe vacation!

Thanksgiving '10

We YYYYYYYY Thanksgiving!

When asked what they were thankful for, this is what they said:

Junior: Family.
Eggs on Toast: Family.
Onion Ring: Family.
Buttermilk Sky: Everything that is good.

We will now leave you with this inspiring quote:

It is literally true, as the thankless say, that they have nothing to be thankful for. He who sits by the fire, thankless for the fire, is just as if he had no fire. Nothing is possessed save in appreciation, of which thankfulness is the indispensable ingredient. But a thankful heart hath a continual feast. ~W.J. Cameron

Thanksgiving 09

We are thankful for family,

food,

and go-carts.

Especially grandmas on go-carts.

When I asked, here is what the boys told me they were thankful for:

Onion Ring: Mashed potatoes and gravy.

Eggs on Toast: Plants.

Buttermilk Sky: Gravity, food, me, and video games. (Then he thought a moment and said:) Everything that supports life and everything that entertains.

Junior: Everything that Buttermilk Sky said.
